Sleepnever.com creator Christopher Kostrzak snatches breaths between adventures in dirty pretty Los Angeles, California.
On top of producing sleepnever.com, Kostrzak is the current director of The Top Floor Live, the world’s first interactive webcam party produced by MTV Networks and Levi’s which most recently featured a live performance by top Billboard recording artist Solange.
In February and March of 2009 Kostrzak’s short “The Lovebirds” appeared at Apex Art Gallery in New York City as part of the “Kicks My Heart’s Ass: Short Films About Love” show curated by Davy Rothbart of NPR and Found Magazine.
During the summer of 2008, Kostrzak toured the U.S. and Canada and simultaneously produced and released a duo of the first ever “ride along” downloadable documentaries “Seize The Days” for Atlantic Recording Artist Kill Hannah and “The Last Road Trip” for Sleepnever.com. Kill Hannah’s companion DVD of “Seize the Days” was released in December 2008.
Over the years, Kostrzak’s written, scored, edited, directed and produced all kinds of stuff for the likes of Crash TV, Tru TV, Anonymous Content, Fondue Films, Sakebomb.com, Spike Jonez, Moviemaker Magazine, Film Zone, Animation World Network, and more, had his work featured in uber hip magazines and blogs like Scene Trash, Nerdy Frames and Get Weird Turn Pro, gotten mentions in NME, Time Out New York, The Chicago Sun Times, The Chicago Reader, NashvilleTV.com and NBC.com and had his party crashing skills chronicled by the London Independent.
As a DJ, Kostrzak has played the hottest venues from L.A. to Istanbul and shared the decks with the likes of Darkwave Disco, Chris Holmes, Daisy O., Assassins, Yello Fever, Team Bayside High, Edward Sharpe, Tommie Sunshine, Hollywood Holt, Tim Nordwind of OKGO and was the tour DJ for Kill Hannah’s 2008 Hope for the Hopeless Tour that featured Kill Hannah, Innerparty System, Medic Droid and The White Tie Affair.
